The brief for this project was to create an app promotional video for the app Whole World Band. The brief wanted to sell the app as a global platform and to try make it more culturally diverse. The aim was to try and show how it was a global platform. The brief also wanted the promotional video to excite people about the endless musical possibilities of their app. They also wished for it to be clear that you didn't need to be a professional musician to use it and that the audience was very broad.
In response I chose to create different instruments that are associated with certain parts of the globe. Illustrations of each instrument were made in various colours and multiplied to creat the map of the world from them. The piece is lighthearted and fun to try and emphasize that you don’t need to be a professional to join in. The piece also may appeal to a broad age range.
